Georgia Power donates $11,000 to Senior Citizens, Inc.

Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI) received an $11,000 corporate donation from Georgia Power. Marian Teuton, Customer Service Manager for Georgia Power (pictured at left), presented the check to Patti Lyons, President of SCI on Thursday, February 20 at Georgia Power headquarters.

“We are so grateful of the support we receive from Georgia Power each and every year,” said Lyons.  “This generous donation will go a long way towards helping SCI fulfill our ongoing mission to help people age successfully in the Coastal Empire.”

In addition to the corporate gift, the Citizens of Georgia Power – Savannah Chapter, an organization made up of employees, retirees and spouses of Georgia Power and Southern Company Services based in Georgia donated more than $600 to the Meals on Wheels program of SCI to help alleviate the effects of the federal budget cut.

"This is a great example of good corporate citizenship. Georgia Power continues to show interest in SCI and what we can do together for the region,” added Lyons. “We can’t thank them enough!”
