Donate a Blanket to Senior Citizens and
Get a Free Coffee From Starbucks!
Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI) needs your help to keep area seniors warm while reducing their utility bills this winter. Join us in collecting blankets for our Annual Blanket Drive.
Everyone who donates a NEW blanket at Starbucks or at SCI’s headquarters throughout the month of January will receive a coupon for a complimentary tall coffee from Starbucks.
Senior Citizens, Inc. will continue to accept blankets at the following Starbucks Coffee locations through January 31.
The following Starbucks Coffee stores will be accepting blankets:
- 49 E. Montgomery Crossroads
- 2106 E. Victory Drive
- 1 E. Broughton Street
- 5500 Abercorn Street (Twelve Oaks Shopping Center)
- 7804 Abercorn Street (Oglethorpe Mall)
Blankets and monetary donations will also be collected at Senior Citizens, Inc. headquarters located at 3025 Bull Street and at WSAV-TV headquarters located at 1430 East Victory Drive.
To qualify for a blanket, seniors must be aged 65 or older and have a low income. Seniors wishing to apply for a blanket may come to 3025 Bull Street and provide a photo ID.

Senior Citizens, Inc. has received support for the event from Georgia Natural Gas (GNG), the state's leading provider of natural gas. Thanks to the GNG’s $3,500 donation to be used toward the purchase of new blankets and partnerships with Willis Insurance Group and Certus Bank, Senior Citizens Inc. has already been able to provide blankets to homebound seniors without adequate means of heating their homes.
